"Bleav in Steelers" host Mark Bergin previews the Pittsburgh Steelers' Sunday game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Both teams are 2-0 entering Week 3.

The Steelers will try to slow down Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert. Pittsburgh is familiar with running backs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards along with offensive coordinator Greg Roman. All three were part of the Baltimore Ravens organization for years.

Bergin explained how the Chargers edge rushing duo of Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack is as good as there is in the NFL.

The Chargers have had a noticeable difference between Jim Harbaugh and Brandon Staley.

"Bleav in Steelers" host Mark Bergin is joined by "Bleav in Broncos" host Patrick Chiotti to preview the Week 2 game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos.

The Steelers are preparing to have Justin Fields make his second start for the team as Russell Wilson deals with a lingering calf injury. Wilson played for the Broncos from 2022-2023. Sunday will mark his return to Denver. The Broncos cut Wilson, which included an $85 million dead cap hit.

The guys discussed Wilson's tenure in Denver and what went wrong with head coach Sean Payton. They also talked about how Broncos fans will react to Wilson's return to Mile High.

Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix is due to make his second career start. It comes against a star-studded Steelers defense led by T.J. Watt.

Bergin asked Chiotti whether the Broncos would consider trading Courtland Sutton to the Steelers before the trade deadline on Nov. 5. Bergin also asked how the Broncos can get running back Javonte Williams going.

The Broncos' defense is led by Jonathon Cooper and Patrick Surtain II.

Also, the Steelers will have a new punter Sunday in Corliss Waitman after Cameron Johnston got hurt in the season-opener against the Atlanta Falcons.

Justin Fields helped guide the Steelers to the win, starting over Russell Wilson, who did not play due to a calf injury.

The Steelers did not turn the ball over offensively and forced three takeaways defensively.

Kicker Chris Boswell made all six of his field goal attempts, including three from 50-plus yards. Boswell also had a 43-yard punt.

Punter Cameron Johnston left the game with a leg injury.

Chao explained why he believes Justin Fields will start over Wilson on Sunday against the Falcons.

Chao said calf injuries can linger. He also compared it to other players who have had the same injury.

Also, Chao expressed his concerns with injuries along the Steelers' offensive line.

“Dirty Birds and Brews” podcast host Kevin Knight joined the show as a guest to discuss Sunday's game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons. It marks the start of the 2024 regular season.

New Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith goes up against his former team. Smith had three consecutive seasons with a 7-10 record as head coach of the Falcons.

Offensively, the Steelers have a new quarterback in Russell Wilson and Kirk Cousins is due to get his first start as quarterback of the Falcons. Both teams have second-string quarterbacks waiting for the opportunity to play in the 2024 season: Justin Fields and Michael Penix. The guys discussed how soon both teams could play Fields and Penix this season.

On the Steelers' side, the guys examined the significance of Cameron Heyward's recent contract extension.

They also discussed how the Falcons' offensive line is expected to hold up against the Steelers' talented defense.

The guys also talked about the friendship of Falcons head coach Raheem Morris and Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin.

"Bleav in Steelers" host Mark Bergin explained what Brandon Aiyuk's contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers means for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Aiyuk's deal makes him the fifth-highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL.

Bergin explained how reports that the Steelers tried to trade a third-round pick to the Denver Broncos. The 49ers would have acquired Courtland Sutton and the Steelers would have landed Aiyuk. The reports indicate the Broncos declined the offer.

The Steelers are due to spend $6.68 million on their wide receivers in the 2024 season.

Now that Aiyuk is staying with the 49ers, Bergin shared how a contract extension could be coming to Cameron Heyward or Pat Freiermuth. Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren are also entering contract seasons.

Bergin also mentioned two wide receivers he likes in the 2025 rookie class: Travis Hunter and Luther Burden III.
