  • Culture Castaway: Jane Cowley
    2024/06/25

Gregary's second Culture Castaway is Jane Cowley, a happy Brummie with travelling feet and lovely teeth.

Mixing it up with tales of India, memories of Ian Drury in the Hare and Hounds and an appreciation of Paul O'Grady's big heart and wonderful wit.

Don't miss the 20 year old dentures (not Jane's!) story either.

This is a Blue Jay Collective intergenerational project based in Birmingham, supported by the Culture Club at Midlands Art Centre and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

With thanks to Desert Island Discs on BBC Radio 4 for the inspiration.

The tracks chosen can be found on the Culture Castaways Spotify Playlist here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/64ST8TvognIxMZLeK1hS9W?si=d6d79909af474f59

The book is At my Mother's Knee... And Other Low Joints by Paul O'Grady
