In this episode of Art of Purpose, Kenny sits down with Christian Contreras, a civil rights attorney who’s not only winning big in the courtroom but also giving a voice to the underrepresented.

Christian is driven by his background, including a tragic accident which left his mother permanently paralyzed and led to them becoming temporarily homeless and living on Skid Row in Downtown Los Angeles when he was only 12-years old. There, Christian experienced firsthand the great need for legal advocacy in the most vulnerable of Los Angeles communities. There he found purpose. From there, he embarked on his journey to becoming the legal advocate others needed.

Christian shares his story, encouragement, words of wisdom for young people and aspiring attorneys, and discusses some of his most impactful cases, including his recent $2.8 million verdict for a street vendor who was terrorized by a Woodland Hills man (a case which received national attention), and talks about the power of perseverance in the face of adversity.
