Arizona State Sun Devils football is about to open Big 12 Conference play, and it is no small task for Kenny Dillingham and his program to debut in their new conference. The Sun Devils begin their new era on the road against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. ASU and Texas Tech feel similar in their placement of the new Big 12 as they fight to emerge from the "limbo" that is the middle of the conference. Both programs have their strengths and weaknesses, but the Sun Devils have much more at stake in this game than the Red Raiders. For one thing, Arizona State Sun Devils football is trying to make their first-ever Big 12 Conference game a win, and being on the road makes that even more difficult. The Sun Devils are also out to prove a lot of people wrong after being picked to finish last in the Big 12 Conference and now with people claiming the team has been "lucky" to get this far as a 3-0 team.
