Written by Stephen Volk, and directed by Lesley Manning, the drama was produced for the BBC anthology series Screen One by Richard Broke, Ruth Baumgarten and Derek Nelson. The narrative presents itself as a live television broadcast. Many elements of the story would be present in later works like Paranormal Activity and The Blair Witch Project.
