In the wake of the country's showing at the 1986 World Cup, the next generation of Canadian players perseveres through the backlash. After the 21st century starts with promise, Canada’s men's team soon finds itself in a darker place than ever before — whilst a passionate soccer culture begins to develop behind the scenes.
