Have you ever felt like life was simply too much?

Maybe you've heard someone say, "God will never give you more than you can handle." It sounds comforting, but is it actually what Scripture teaches?

In today's Bible Study, we're finishing Acts 14 and following Paul and Barnabas as they continue faithfully through hardship, persecution, and opposition. Instead of promising an easy road, Paul reminds believers that hardships are part of the journey of faith. Yet through it all, we discover a powerful truth: God may allow us to walk through things bigger than ourselves so we learn to depend completely on Him.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, discouraged, or like you're carrying more than you can bear, this study is for you.

What challenge in your life feels bigger than you can handle right now, and what would it look like to intentionally place that burden into God's hands this week?

Think of someone who may be walking through a difficult season. Send them a text, make a phone call, or offer a prayer today. Sometimes the encouragement God used Paul and Barnabas to give is the same encouragement He wants to give through you.

Have you ever noticed how quickly people's opinions can change?

One moment you're being praised. The next moment you're being criticized.

In Acts 14:8-20, Paul experiences both extremes. After God performs a miraculous healing through him, the crowd wants to worship him. Just a few verses later, that same crowd turns against him and leaves him for dead.

This powerful passage reminds us that when we build our identity on the approval of others, we'll constantly rise and fall with public opinion. But when we remember that we're ultimately serving Jesus, we can remain faithful no matter what people think.

Today we're talking about what it looks like to live for an Audience of One.
