    2025/01/05

Teacher: Josh Fortney. Welcome! Today, we begin our HOME series, focusing on building strong, God-centered marriages through Holiness, Oneness, and Missional Engagement (H.O.M.E.). Over the next nine weeks in our community groups and the next three weeks on Sundays, we’ll learn what the Bible teaches about marriage, including the importance of letting go of old priorities, committing fully to our spouses, and creating a life of unity and purpose. This series is for everyone, offering lessons about relationships that can help, whether you're married or not.

Marriage reflects the relationship between Christ and the Church, showing love, grace, and teamwork. Our goal is not just to avoid problems but to grow together in faith and commitment. As a church, let’s work together to deepen our relationships and reflect God’s love in our marriages. Through prayer, study, and action, we can strengthen our bonds and grow closer to God and each other. Join us on this journey to discover God’s plan for marriage.

This Sunday, Kyle dives deep into the essence of biblical joy—a joy that isn't tethered to circumstances but rooted in the unwavering goodness and sovereignty of God. Drawing from the story of the Magi, we're reminded that true joy leads us to worship, generosity, and a life centered on Jesus. He reminds us that the Prince of Peace came to restore what was broken by our sin and to reconcile us to God. Jesus Christ is the greatest gift we could ever receive, bringing us lasting peace.

  • 209 // All I Want for Christmas Is Hope
    2024/12/08

Welcome! This Sunday, we embark on the Advent season with a new series, “All I Want for Christmas Is…,” where we’ll reflect on the true gifts of the season through the lens of Scripture. Today, we focus on hope. Advent, meaning "arrival," invites us to remember Jesus' birth and anticipate His return. Amid a culture filled with misplaced priorities, we explore how biblical hope transforms our hearts and minds, grounding us in the promises of God.

As we dive into Isaiah 8 and 9, we see the contrast between darkness and the promise of light. Isaiah paints a picture of despair and spiritual blindness as God's people face judgment for their rebellion. Yet, God promises a Messiah—a child who will embody hope, light, and salvation. This prophecy points to Jesus, the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Through Him, we can anchor our hope not in fleeting desires but in a secure, eternal foundation. This week, let’s reignite our hope in Christ, celebrating His presence and anticipating His return.

  • 208 // The Keys to Enduring Suffering
    2024/12/01

Teacher: David Leventhal. Welcome to our final week in 1 Peter! This Sunday, David Leventhal will be taking us through 1 Peter 5, where Peter encourages the church to stand firm through suffering. He highlights the importance of faithful leadership, urging elders to shepherd the flock with humility and care while encouraging the younger members to support their leaders and cultivate humility toward one another.

Peter reminds believers to remain vigilant, recognizing that their enemy, the devil, seeks to devour. Peter also reassures them that their general has not abandoned the troops. The battle we are fighting as believers is temporary because Jesus Christ is coming back to deal once and for all with the evil and sin in this world.

In this series, we're focusing on the main theme of 1 Peter: As God's chosen people, believers are called to endure suffering with hope, following in the footsteps of Christ, trusting that their trials serve to sanctify them and prepare them for the glory to come.
