    Our first book is The Call of the Wild, by Jack London. A staple classic of high schools across the country, and now a major motion picture starring Harrison Ford.

    Today's episode begins our second book, The Metamorphosis, by Franz Kafka. It's the surreal tale of Gregor Samsa, who awakes one morning to find himself transformed into an insect.

    It's another short read, so today is Chapter 1 and half of Chapter 2. (Up to the line which ends 'to see how his sister liked the new arrangement.', if you're reading along on your own. Copy of the book available here).

    Unlike our last book, this one is much more open to interpretation. Check it out and join us next Tuesday for our discussion!
