Convenience & Consumerism

  • サマリー

  • The Two Broads have a conversation on this episode about how convenience, or a least the sales pitch of it, has led us into the really deep end of consumerism. We wonder if we are better off for it all despite the obviousness of much of it. Do we purchase without much real thought whenever something is sold as making our lives easier or better in some ways? Has all of that stuff we have bought lived up to its promise? Do we even use half of the stuff we have? Why do we think we have to constantly buy stuff? We bring up this topic in an effort to perhaps put some thought into how we are actually managing our lives though our stuff and our finances and our impulses to over buy. Perhaps we should spend a little more time being a producer of something at least once in a while as being known as consumers starts to feel heavy.
