  • Where Did We Go?
    2024/07/26

The brother-sister sports commentary and comedy (well, we think we're funny, anyway!) duo are back!

The last time we put out an episode the Winnipeg Jets were still in the playoffs. Where have we been? Basically, in a pit of despair, with the Jets losing, and the Bombers brutal start to their season, and the England Men's soccer team making another final but playing terrible to get there.

Still, there are some bright spots. Our mood spurred on by Paul Maurice's post-Stanley Cup win speech about his only wish being that Winnipeg can win the cup next year and the Canadian Men's soccer team's performance at the Copa America, we look at the Olympics, and the sports we are most excited to watch. And we broach the biggest controversy of all - is breakdancing a sport?

  • White Out Pressure
    2024/04/29

The brother-sister team of Matt Brough and Kirsten Schellenberg are back to talk playoff hockey and the Winnipeg Jets. Recorded right before the Jets played game 4 of their series against the Colorado Avalanche, but released after the game, find out if our predictions are completely moronic. We talk about whether the Winnipeg White Out Adds pressure, our experiences of attending game 1 and game 2, our undying loyalty to the Jets regardless of of what happens, the play of Connor Hellebuyck (and everyone else), what is going wrong in the playoffs, our love of Adam Lowry (give him athlete of the Fortnight just for his amazing play in game 1!), and we make up nicknames for the final 2 Jets on our list - Kupari and Hellebuyck.

  • Interview with Anthem Singer Stacey Nattrass
    2024/04/08

Hosts Matt Brough and Kirsten Schellenberg talk to Winnipeg Jets own Stacey Nattrass, and she tells some great stories of her time as THE staple anthem singer for the Jets and the Moose. We continue our "brushes with fame" segment with Kirsten's time she met Brian Mulroney and Matt's time he met the guy who played Lex Luther in Smallville. The nicknames we gave to Gabriel Vilardi and Nate Schmidt, were so good that we tried to go for a third nickname but epically failed. We obviously talk about the coming playoffs (now that the Jets have clinched!). Athlete of the fortnight of course goes to Caitlin Clark. And somehow, we also managed to spend an inordinate amount of time talking about the strange prevalence of spleen injuries.

  • One Cool Organist - An Interview with Chris Eccles
    2024/03/13

Hosts Matt Brough and Kirsten Schellenberg have an amazing conversation with the organist for the Winnipeg Jets, Chris Eccles. We start a new "brushes with fame" segment, give a new nickname to one of the Jets and finally give one to Mark Scheiffele, talk about the trade deadline deals, and almost manage to go an entire episode without talking about food.

  • The Monahan Effect
    2024/02/05

Izac Silagy joins the brother sister hosts Matt Brough and Kirsten Schellenberg to talk about the impact of the deal made during the All Star break to bring Sean Monahan to Winnipeg. And we give him a nickname. Why not! We give one to Laurent Brossoit too, while our Athlete of the Fortnight is a new Blue Bomber signing. We look ahead to the second half of the Jets season, make suggestions for improving the All-Star weekend (or maybe just don't have it?), and also talk about Star Wars and weird desserts.

  • All Hail Connor!
    2024/01/22

Kyle Connor is back from injury and looking good, Connor Hellebuyck has been brilliant this season. Kirsten Schellenberg and Matt Brough talk about whether this winning season is any different than what happened last season, the continuing power play and penalty kill woes, how key Mark Scheifele is, and the high percentage of hockey players that have the name "Connor" or "Dylan" in them. They also show their ignorance of the NFL playoffs, discuss the acting ability of Kevin Costner and also what skating was like when they were kids, Kirsten asks a philosophical question, and they give nicknames to Cole Perfetti and Dylan Samberg.

  • The Jets Are on a Roll and So Are We
    2024/01/11

The Winnipeg Jets are top of the league! Brother/sister hosts, Matt and Kirsten, share their shock at how the Jets have put everything together to be the best team in the NHL as they’re near the midpoint of the season. They’re also shocked by their choices for their personal words of the year. They talk about why the Jets are so good, what they will do when players come back from injury, how to fix the power-play (hint: put Lowry in there—a good solution for everything!), how much they love chocolate, give nicknames to Adam Lowry and Nino Niederreiter, and name Grace Zumwinkle of Minnesota's PWHL's hockey club as the Athlete of the Fortnight.
