I guess, in a way, back then in the early 20th century, this was just what was expected from people.     When I was researching the actress Tallulah Bankhead, I read a book on her and other showgirls and flappers of that time and one passage of the book was: “(But) Tallulah possessed wonderful powers of determination and denial.“ I immediately LOVED this quote. There is so much wisdom in it and since then this has become my favorite motto. Because these are two very important ingredients as to what it takes to create a life that you actually want and love.
