    Recognize the extraordinary contributions of Regina Taylor, an actress, director, playwright, educator, and activist whose work spans television, theater, and film. As the playwright-in-residence at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Taylor's acclaimed works, such as Crowns, Oo-Bla-Dee, and Drowning Crow, have earned multiple Helen Hayes Awards and the Edgerton Foundation New American Play Award. She is the most produced playwright at the Goodman Theatre and serves as its artistic associate. On screen, Taylor has garnered a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Lily Harper in I’ll Fly Away, along with Emmy nominations and NAACP Image Awards. Her notable television and film roles include Lovecraft Country, All Day and a Night, Council of Dads, and The Good Fight, and she made history as the first African American woman to play Juliet in Romeo and Juliet on Broadway.     Lisa Arrindell was born in the Bronx, New York, and brought straight home to Brooklyn, where she was raised. She is a graduate of The High School of Performing Arts, now called The Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Arts and Performing Arts, and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre at The Juilliard School. Lisa's extensive acting career includes HBO's A Lesson Before Dying, Disappearing Acts, Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First Hundred Years, Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion, The Sin Seer, Livin' Large, Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, Random Acts of Flyness, Elementary, Madam Secretary, Saints & Sinners, Bull, etc. Lisa appeared led on stage in Jubilee [Seattle Opera], Cat On A Hot Tin Roof [Broadway], Reparations [The Billie Holiday Theatre], Richard III [NY Shakespeare Festival], Heliotrope Bouquet [Playwrights Horizons], and Earth and Sky [Second Stage] among others. Lisa served as the resident acting coach for Seasons 2 and 3 of Starz's hit television series P-Valley, with Season 3 having just wrapped filming last month. This year, she also appeared as Carol in Christine Swanson's film Albany Road, which premiered in theaters on November 15th. Earlier this year, on her birthday, Lisa brought her dream project to life by filming the proof-of-concept for An Extraordinary Life, a film she both wrote and directed. An Extraordinary Life traverses the rich American story of Alonzo Herndon. While celebrated as a phenomenally successful entrepreneur, Alonzo refuses to rest in his escape from slavery’s bonds. Instead, he dedicates his life to paving a path toward freedom and economic dignity for others. This lush and poignant tale unfolds over the course of a single day in 1955, spotlighting one of the wealthiest men in America. Alonzo’s only heir, Norris Herndon, revisits memories sparked by his late mother Adrienne Herndon’s birthday in April of that year, revealing a rich and complex legacy. Lisa is now preparing to pitch and shop her full-length feature screenplay to studio executives and investors, aiming to bring this true story to a wider audience. Along with her acting career, Lisa educates and inspires audiences with her passion for health and wholeness. She enjoys teaching theater students who are earnestly curious about pursuing a career in the performing arts and is on staff at The Freeman Studio and The Billie Holiday Theatre's Youth Arts Academy. The Emmy-award-winning producer and documentarian, who has garnered two NAACP Image Award nominations has wri[en and produced more than 100 TV programs for NBC, CBS, TVLand, A&E, BET, The Travel Channel, and TV One, that include 60 Minutes, Living With Soul, The DL Exposed, Prince: Behind the Symbol, Biography, Tuskegee Airmen, Black Ladies of Song, A Laugh, A Tear, U.S. Olympic Fest, and TVLand: African Americans in Television. Her film credits which include Intore (pronounced In-nor-ay), a feature-length doc about how Rwanda survived its tragic past by regaining its identity through music, dance, and the resilience of a new generation, earned top honors at the International Film Awards and was a Humanitarian Award recipient at the 2016 International Family Film Festival. In 2016, Shirley also served as co-host of African Ancestry Radio, a seasonal series on Sirius XM.
