“Humility leads us to free and light living”

Pastor Mike Francisco wrapped up our “Get Outta My Head” series with a message exploring the result of Peter’s most pivotal moment in life. Mike admitted that he struggles to relate with Peter as a fisherman but does relate with his feelings of letting people down and wondering if he is worthy. Thankfully, Peter uses his own story to encourage us to get out of our heads.

“God’s not surprised by any of it”

Niki Schabo, who leads our 11|28 Prison Ministry, continued our series “Get Outta My Head” with a timely message about resourcing ourselves for the unseen battle that rages internally and spiritually. Niki’s history of coping with prescription medications and drug abuse found her in a very dark place. Now as a mom who’s dealing with anxiety, depression, mental fatigue and self doubt she has discovered the way out that God offers each of us.

“God will get you through”

Church Planter, Troy Cotton Jr., shared his personal experiences as a professional basketball player and as someone dealing with an extreme health crisis and how God got him through. Contrasting his own story with the trials, triumphs, and challenges of King David, Troy left us encouraged and ready to face the obstacles in our own lives.

"Peace is just a thought away"

LaMeka McKinnie, from Revive Life Transformation Church, kicked of our series "Get Outta My Head" with a bit of peace. LaMeka shared from her own personal struggles with anxiety, fear, and worry before giving us some practical helps from scripture as we seek to take captive our thoughts.

“God has provided everything, what are we going to bring forward”

Pastors Mike and Colleen Francisco we’re joined with special guest Lucia Loza-Galzewski on Sunday and shared a renewed energy and dreams for our future! They explored Exodus 35 and the offerings that were brought to build the Tabernacle where God would meet with His people in the wilderness. The people of God we’re bold and trusting with what they brought forward to see the vision come to life. 2025 is our year to be bold, to take risks that help us double in size so that we can sustain having a permanent home in Oak Creek eventually. Bold risks will also expand our partnerships in Milwaukee and Racine counties as well as Puebla Mexico to which we’ve budgeted giving $16,000 in 2025.

“If you want different results this year, you’ve got to remove the trigger”

Pastor Mike Francisco teamed up with Niki Schabo (Prison Ministry lead) and looked at two stories that dealt with bad decisions. We don’t end up in the wrong place because of one bad decision, we end up there because of a series of small decisions. If we’re going to change, we’ve got to identify what needs to be removed and then make it happen.

“My future is blessed because I'm faithful today.”

Pastor Mike Francisco reminded us that Daniel was spared, protected, saved, and blessed because of his faithfulness. Small habits done consistently over time lead to a higher rate of success when it comes to change. As you consider your journey of faith this year, what are a few small habits that could ave a GIANT impact?

“When you know who you are, you know what to do.”

Pastors Mike and Colleen Francisco explored the words of Paul in Romans as they discussed knowing who we are. Our identity informs our actions and what we believe about ourselves. The greatest change we can actually make this year is understanding who we really are.
