God’s covenant must be fulfilled through Jacob in spite of appearances to the contrary. Since the Lord’s promises are secured by a covenant oath, he is bound to keep them, so we can trust him even when circumstances would lead us to doubt their fulfillment.

John’s Gospel is a reliable account of Jesus sufficient to lead us to faith in him. Since John’s testimony is true and substantial enough to answer objections and reveal the person and glory of the Son of God, we ought to believe in him and become God’s children.

Jesus removed every barrier for his disciples to enter into their mission of ministry. Since Jesus calls, empowers, and provides for his servants, exemplifies self-less service, mercifully forgives, and commands single-mindedness, we must trust and follow him.

In his third appearance to the gathered disciples after his resurrection, Jesus reminded them of significant lessons which he had taught them during his life and ministry.

The power to change comes not from greater determination or a better system of rules, but from the truth that you died, rose, and ascended with Christ. Change happens when you set your mind and heart on him, considering your life to be his.

Jesus revealed himself to his disciples, overcame their fears and sent them on mission. Since we have the eyewitness testimony of Jesus’ disciples, we also ought to believe that he rose from the dead and give our lives to carry that good news to the world.

Mary, Peter, and John witnessed the empty tomb and became witnesses to his resurrection. Since we have eyewitness testimony of Jesus’ resurrection supported by reasonable evidences, we ought to believe in him and bear witness to his gift of eternal life.

In his crucifixion Jesus continued to govern the affairs of men to fulfill God’s eternal plan. Since Jesus is Lord, even when he was being crucified, we must humble ourselves and trust him to be our Savior, the only one who is worthy of our confidence and hope.
