During his 20’s Frank Hyman was a very successful college dropout. He spent that decade on a quest to find his callings and figure out how to make a living from them. Foraging mushrooms is the ninth professional-level calling he’s developed, along with writing, stone masonry, sculpture, horticulture and four others. Frank has taught foraging to over 1000 chefs, organic farmers, arborists and everyday people. He’s made as much as $200/hour from selling wild, edible mushrooms to restaurants. His new book “How to Forage Mushrooms Without Dying: An Absolute Beginner’s Guide” is helping tens of thousands of people get started safely foraging, eating, and sharing feral fungi.
