Ep. 35 "Trust in the Process, and Faith in the Outcome" - Josh Wymore, Ph.D.

  • サマリー

  • Josh Wymore, Ph.D. joins me on today's episode. While working his side hustle, Josh realized that those were the best hours of his week, so he set out to make it 40 hours doing what he loves. Over the years, Josh has turned that into a reality.

As an author, executive coach of fortune 500 companies, and a keynote speaker including a TEDx talk back in the fall of 2024, Josh has a passion for helping leaders become better by focusing their energy, skills, and mindset on becoming humbler.

In today's episode we look at Proverbs 22:7 and how debt plays such a big part of our lives. How we struggle with lacking contentment and wanting more than we need. Josh shares a story of his upbringing and how his parents were very open to them about their financial situation, specifically with debt, and how that has had a lasting impact on leading his own family. We talk about the pain of self-discipline verse the pain of regret and how our job is to faithfully say yes to God even when we don't fully know where that might be taking us.

We also talk about time debt and how important it is to have margin and understand our limits so that we can have lasting joy and freedom.
Listen to the end as Josh challenges us to focus on fasting rather than abundance because we live in a culture that wants us to consume more.
