    - synthetic man-made viruses: viruses are scientifically created for research fields of virology.

    - unimaginable trauma: a condition caused by shock, stress that is beyond one's imagination.

    - be contracted with = become ill or sick because you have caught a virus.

    - resort to: you can't think of better solutions to do.
