  • Altura Ep 6 On this episode of the Altura podcast we sit down with print makers Pavel Acevedo (@pavelacevedo) and Viktor Rosas (@imacheesecake2). Along with graffiti artist, poet and painter, SEK (@sekcess), they are both in the “Beauty and Fear” art exhibit curated by Summer Bernal (@smb2719) at Altura LA. The guys join us down the street in an El Sereno backyard to speak on the theme of “Beauty and Fear,” how making mistakes makes you a better artist, shouting out the spaces that nurtured their love for printmaking, how characteristics of duality are more than expressed in this exhibit but how they are in the craft of printmaking itself. With both of these men being from different parts of Mexico, we had to ask about some of the contrasts between here and there, then and now. And heads up, keeping n theme with duality, we go back and forth in the podcast between English and Spanish.
