In this "knock on the head and forget who you are" flick, we are introduced to Madonna, the street wiser drifter, who attracts the attention of a whole host of people. And why not? This is peak Madonna, and everything about her in this movie is why she was smoking hot in the '80s. Plus, there are a few up and comers in the mix that are about to break big (and in one case, break bad). This was a great movie to watch, and we certainly get into the groove as we discuss it.     This Week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Daniel back on the show as we discuss the 1985 comedy (?), The Man with One Red Shoe. Tom Hanks, Dabney Coleman, Charles Durning. What could go wrong. This. This could go wrong. This movie is supposed to be a comedy, but it has few laughs. It's supposed to be spy thriller, but has no thrills and the spies are all generic garbage. We always have fun discussing these movies, even the bad ones, but this one kind of left us all feeling empty. We still laughed, but maybe not how the creators of this movie wanted us to.     This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Connor back to the show as we discuss the 1985 melodrama St. Elmo's Fire. Remember all those kids you loved in the Breakfast Club and the Outsiders? Well, get ready to hate them now as they have grown up to become self-absorbed, entitled yuppie pricks. This might be the biggest disappointment of all the movies we have done so far on the ol’ E&N podcast. Demi, and Ally and Judd and Rob and Emilio, and Andrew and that one chick who didn’t make go to great lengths to earn the “who is the worst person award”. Spoiler alert: They all tie for first. Anyway, just because it was a terrible movie doesn’t mean we didn’t have fun ripping it apart (and the hatred for this movie was not universal). Even the worst Brat Pack movie is fun to discuss. In this sequel to the original First Blood, Sly Stallone is a one-man wrecking crew, single-handedly killing more Vietnamese soldiers in one weekend than the entire American military did in a decade during the war. Rambo is sent to Vietnam to rescue some POW's and fall in love along the way. What could possibly go wrong dating John Rambo? I'm sure it will be fine. We had a great time discussing this movie You will have a great time listening to the podcast.
