"What should we understand about sprains, strains and pain recovery for clients?" asked Julie "We tell people, "Pain is the last thing to arrive and the first thing to go." said Kaitlyn. Behavioral addiction to exercise is also a real thing – many want to add to the exercise program or train harder than what we recommend. Julie asks "We all go to the gym and follow online exercise regimens that seem to be one size fits all approach. Which often is the wrong approach to exercise. You are educating clients on how to be intentional and less reactionary with exercise. Can you further explain this approach?" David explains intentional exercise, "Yes, it’s really about awareness and intention. In essence, people need to exercise for their unique situation and body type. We start with specific assessments in two areas 1) physical and 2) lifestyle or wellness. The purpose is to help us design a better program and coach more specifically, but more importantly it raises the awareness in a person so they can be more intentional in their choices."
