In the fourth chapter of the story, Dr. Hyman meets with Andrew Williams III, author of the article "Facing My Own Blackness." In the article, Andrew tells the story of how he reconciled the meaning and weight of his race and what it means to face the world––in a world where his race is often vilified. JD explores these mores with Andrew and reconciles his own race and how he came to terms with that same world.
