  • Episode 1: 8 Reasons Why Walt Disney World is the Perfect Family Vacation
    2024/07/31
Welcome to Family Style Magic! For this inaugural episode, Robert and Emily explain why they believe Walt Disney World is the best, most ideal family vacation destination. Plus, this week's Top 5 is all about crowds and when is the best time to go to Walt Disney World. Are you ready to book your trip? Get a FREE no obligation quote here! (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc5LNUWrqUCIv7ErIxrxY2oR2bsWnR9skxjmcxIzdUwkNsQlQ/viewform?vc=0&c=0&w=1&flr=0&usp=mail_form_link) WDW spans nearly 25,000 acres just southwest of Orlando. The complex is home to four theme parks, more than 25 resorts, over 200 places to eat, and MANY places to shop, including around 100 boutiques at Disney Springs, Walt Disney World’s very own outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment complex. Disney’s theme parks were imagined by none other than Walt Disney himself. Walt had taken his children to zoos and carnivals, but he wondered why there weren’t more immersive experiences that entertained both children and adults. In 1955, Disneyland opened in Anaheim, CA, debuting with classic rides such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Peter Pan’s Flight (which you can still ride today at both Disneyland and WDW). Disneyland was such a success on the West Coast that Walt began planning a new theme park on the East Coast which could provide a similar experience, but on a grander scale. Walt famously said, “Here in Florida, we have something special we never enjoyed at Disneyland... the blessing of size. There's enough land here to hold all the ideas and plans we can possibly imagine.” Walt Disney World opened October 1, 1971, five years after Walt Disney passed away. Though he never saw its completion, Disney’s fingerprints are all over Walt Disney World. When Roy O. Disney, Walt’s brother, opened Walt Disney World, he said: “Walt Disney World is a tribute to the philosophy and life of Walter Elias Disney… and to the talents, the dedication, and the loyalty of the entire Disney organization that made Walt Disney's dream come true. May Walt Disney World bring Joy and Inspiration and New Knowledge to all who come to this happy place… a Magic Kingdom where the young at heart of all ages can laugh and play and learn — together. Dedicated this 25th day of October, 1971." Today, over 50 years later, Walt Disney World is truly the most magical place on earth! That is because of Walt Disney's vision to create environments that both adults and children could enjoy – together!_ On this episode, Robert and Emily give eight reasons why they believe a trip to Walt Disney World is the perfect family vacation!
