From My Standpoint

著者: Josh C. Jones
  • サマリー

  • In an age where perception is fact and negativity and conflict remain entertainment, it can be difficult and sometimes troubling to find a positive and try and understand another’s perspective. Join Josh C. Jones, an author, teacher, speaker, and more, as he discusses different topics in an attempt to showcase a differing perspective with a nugget of positivity and truth. Let's ask those questions, travel some of those logical thought trails, think outside the current culture's accepted cognition, and find some valuable information, which could very well bring hope, understanding, and a proper perspective to our lives. With these podcast episodes, as with my books and writings, I hope to help you rebuild your faith, reignite your hope, overcome depression, open that dialogue, and reach your destiny of richness, success, and life.

The 2024 presidential election is over, but the hysteria continues.

For any election, really, how can we cope with a new administration, a new person in the office as President of the United States of America? How can we rest our fears on the chopping block of truth?

Listen as Josh tells you the best advice that he has heard on this topic when it comes to political elections.

Okay, so he read it online, not heard it, so what? It’s still good advice that he is willing to share for free with you.

“If you voted… and you are feeling that the election result is truly horrifying, do this one simple thing for your mental health:”

  • Episode 088: First Godly Issues, then Common Sense
    2024/10/08

How should a Christian even begin to try to decide who to cast their vote for?

Really, how should anyone who claims to believe in the Bible, God, follow Jesus, or even wear the title of Christian, Jew, Catholic, etc. even begin to decide who would be the best person on the ballot to cast their vote for?

Voting is your right, and it is how you express your values and show your support for what you want this country to become.

Listen as we discover how easy it truly is sometimes for a follower of Jesus, a believer in God, and a follower of the Bible to truly begin to understand who might be the best candidate on any ballot to cast their vote for.

  • Episode 087: Rise and Fall of Freedom
    2024/10/01

“The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.” Thomas Jefferson

Freedom, as we know, is not free; and it can and is easily taken by those who would oppose it. But how could a citizen base who lives in freedom and claims to support freedom so easily hand that very freedom over to those who wish to take it?

Well, as Thomas Paine is quoted, “Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.”

But what if we are losing our freedoms one slice at a time? What if the very citizens are giving their freedoms away with each cut to their very comfortable and conformable lives and their desire for dependence over responsibility? What if a nation could quietly be put to death by a thousand cuts?
