This week’s guest is interdisciplinary artist, writer and producer, Bibi June, working across poetry, audio drama, theatre and more. Originally from the Netherlands, Bibi was one of the first people I met when I started doing spoken word in Glasgow in 2016, and they have continued to inspire me with the work they make and the approach they take to being an international and interdisciplinary artist. This week’s guest is Raisah Ahmed, writer and director of film and television, and chair of the Industry Advisory Committee for the Glasgow Short Film Festival. She has a feature film in development with Film4 and is adapting Ayesha’s Gift for television with Freedom Scripted, as well as having a laundry list of credits to her name. She is a champion of the Scottish South Asian community and works tirelessly to bring stories by South Asian artists for South Asian audiences to our screens. We chatted about schemes for entry level artists, the difference between working for free and asking people to work for free, being given the chance to fail in our work, and the idea of having a self-sufficient industry

Actor, writer, producer, activist, all around boss lady, Elaine Stirrat is this week's guest. As well as being a busy creative, Elaine is one half of the activism initiative, Persistent and Nasty, who advocate for women and other marginalised voices in the Scottish screen and theatre industries. We had a lovely chat about making change, peaking up, and the dangers and freedoms of being a nasty woman
