  • Listen to this Post: Book Promotion Services and Sites (That Won’t Break the Bank)
    2024/07/10

Hello Authors, have a listen to this post for a few specific book promotion sites to promote your book.. ~Claudine

You can read this article with the links included here.

As a subscriber to Get Your Book Seen and Sold, you already know that book marketing is a big part of your job as an author. In this podcast episode, I introduce the concept of book promotion through websites created to offer you book promotion opportunities.

I explain the idea behind these sites - the fact that there are two sides to the sites: The side that services readers and the side that services authors who want to promote their books. Amazon is an example of a site where an author can pay for advertising for their books and also use the site as reader/customer. Bookbub is another such site.

The companies use their database of readers (book buyers) to offer promotion opportunities for the book sellers - that means you! Two other easy to understand Book Bub deep dives are here and here.

Enjoy this introduction to book promotion sites… it’s a huge topic with many companies vying for your book promotion dollars in slightly different ways. Another book promotion site that has become one of my favorites is written word media - ie. bargain booksy, free booksy. I interviewed one of their executives on the podcast here, Clayton Noblit, and I use them myself to promote Get Your Book Seen and Sold and I have been pleased with the results.

  • Mariah Fredericks, Bestselling Author of "The Wharton Plot" - The Secret To A Successful Book Launch and Much, Much More
    2024/06/12

Enjoy this interview as the generous, best-selling author, Mariah Fredericks illustrates by example how to be a successful novelist - her writing method. her research method, her love of writing - her NEED to do it - and graciously offering her time for a podcast interview with a fan!

Best-selling author Mariah Fredericks released her 16th book, The Wharton Plot, in January 2024. I ripped through her latest, fabulous book that focuses on a true crime during the gilded age in NYC. The book is much more than that, though, it a behind the scenes look at the life of a famous American author, Edith Wharton - her broken marriage, her lover, her famous and not so famous friends, her career later in life, and her place as a famous woman in an age when women did not have careers. As usual, Fredericks seamlessly weaves all of the themes together in a fabulously written, engrossing and entertaining novel.

Fredericks uses the backdrop of a real-life murder to introduce us to Wharton as she tries to solve the crime. The reader comes to understand Wharton on a deeper level. Fans of Age of Innocence, by Wharton, will love reading about its author behind the scenes. In the podcast, I ask if the audio book narrator of The Wharton Plot is the same as the narrator in the The Age of Innocence Movie (The narrator is NOT the same as you will hear. Wait ‘til you hear who it is).
