Girlfriends are the ones who are consistently there for you through the ups and downs of life. Most importantly, girlfriends are the ones who have the staying power through your life through the dating, honeymoon, marriage, divorce, and remarriage phases of life. The reality is that women spend a significant part of their life without a partner – life before marriage, life after divorce, or life after the death of a spouse – and it is the girlfriends who see you through that.
