Getting Comfortable Being Uncomfortable

  • サマリー

  • In this episode, I have the pleasure of chatting with Dr. William Young, a great friend and fellow athlete. Dr. Young is a Lubbock, Texas Marriage and Family Therapist who practices from the perspective of total wellness and takes a 360 degree approach to health and fitness. Our interview begins with a candid conversation about overcoming addiction and establishing lifelong habits of health and prosperity. We discuss physical activity and its role in helping one develop confidence and a sense of mastery. We then delve into overcoming BIG fears such as open water swimming. Will shares some of his experiences as an athlete that have lead him to deeper understanding of emotional functioning and to making lasting changes that enable one to thrive. You will so enjoy Will's candor and insight into some pretty deep topics. We will definitely do a "part 2" where we hope to dive into more detail on breathing techniques, cold water immersion, and other techniques that can help us cope better with the daily challenges life throws our way!
