From humble beginnings, originally selling at markets nine years ago, Moon has stayed true her values throughout her business journey. Her label is dedicated to sustainable practices and ethical manufacturing, favouring timeless shapes and multi-functional pieces over anything too trend-led. The store follows this ethos, stocking a curated selection of Australian-made and eco-conscious labels alongside her women's and children's collections.

It was such a pleasure to chat to Moon and hear her experience of growing organically and consciously in the often over-crowded market of fashion.

In this episode we chat to multi-talented Renee of Thrifter, a thriving rent-a-rack business in Noosa, for the community to sell their secondhand clothing. Ren is also behind Sole Sisters Run Club, a women-only Sunshine Coast running club, and the Females Doing Cool Shit events. She describes her purpose in life as building relationships with the community and lives for events that bring people - mostly women - together. A primary school teacher by trade, Ren is an inspiration for anyone who has a career plus a side hustle or passion project and how to manage that juggle without burning out or losing vision. Bobbi Lane ⁠is a cafe and retail space in Marcoola on the Sunshine Coast owned by Kimberley, who has created a beautiful space for conscious fashion, community and coffee. Bobbi Lane's offering includes locally roasted coffee, carefully sourced local products and hand-picked second-hand goods. There is also a space for hire at the back of the store (⁠The Back⁠) great for workshops, events, meetings and content creation. It was refreshing to talk to someone who's business values include kindness and authenticity – and the loyal customers she has is proof it works. We recorded this episode in The Back⁠⁠ and the coffees were provided by Bobbi Lane.

Havana Haus is a production house on the Sunshine Coast that includes spaces for photography, podcasting, events and meetings all under one roof. Meticulously designed for all uses, the space is the vision of photographer Chloe Hutchison (Havana Productions). Launched in mid 2023, the studio has already been incredibly popular with creatives, both local and interstate, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds. Chloe is an inspiration with such a cultivated knowledge of business and creativity, she was a pleasure to chat to. Breaking format, we didn’t record in a cafe but in Havana Haus itself. We did, however, enjoy takeaway coffees from Slide Coffee which is based across the road in the Coolum Industrial Estate.

Eliza Rhodes AKA ElRho Photo is a well-known Sunshine Coast photographer who has captured hundreds of local couples and families. In her own words, she "photographs love" capturing life’s milestones like pregnancy and motherhood, engagements and weddings, and families and business. Launched 6 years ago, Eliza has grown from a girl with a camera on a surf trip to an established local creative with a loyal following. This episode was recorded at Woodstack cafe in Coolum.

Saltwater Eco Tours launched in 2020 with a vision to establish a unique tourism experience that would inspire a deeper connection to Indigenous culture and the ocean. Aboard a 115-year old sailing boat departing from Mooloolaba, locals and visitors can experience live music, bushtucker lunches and sunset cruises. Co-founders Simon and Jenna both stepped away from established careers, taking huge risks to start this impressive business and we chat to them about their journey; from a tricky start to a newly opened retail store. This episode was recorded at Hey Day in Buddina.
