No, if we are to believe that Christ (a man) died for us than we must believe that his example was to show us the sacrifice that we must be willing to take for one another. It was to show us that in Christ absence, we must be willing to take up and bear his cross. And, that in the absence of all others who sacrificed their lives taking up that cross for humanity, we too must be willing to follow.
