Shaney is a teacher at a leading child and adolescent psychiatric hospital and teen mental health advocate who has made it her mission to get preventative coping skills into the hands of every teen in the country. After working with her son who struggles with anxiety, Shaney sees how powerful it is when kids have the tools to help themselves. Shaney wrote Back Pocket-Tools for Teens to Nurture Their Mental Health, as well as an accompanying workshop, as a compilation of tools she has seen work best with her son as well as the 100's of kids she has worked with.
