  • Join me for a lively chat with my friends & colleagues, Erika Pluhar, PhD, EdS and Amy Howard, MS, LMFT, CST. I've known Erika & Amy for a while, and we have so much in common! We all have clinical counseling practices in Atlanta, we are members of AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors & Therapists), and we are all boy mamas. In this resource filled episode, we talk about the joys and challenges of being sex therapists and sex educators while providing sex education for our boy children who range in age from 8 to 21. We also discuss the importance of teaching empathy, how gender messaging in sex education shows up at home and in our culture, and what we look for when we search the web for sex education resources to use with our families.
