This week's episode: "Balancing Acts: Navigating Work, Family, and Self," was inspired by a discussion from a recent Leadership Class I had. I unravel my personal journey towards finding "harmony" in the chaos of life's demands. I do not believe in a "work/life balance".
It's a narrative that takes me back to 2016, a time when my world teetered on the edge, almost costing me the love of my life - all in the name of relentless work.
Fast forward to 2018, during the start of my entrepreneurial beginnings, I was met yet again with life's ability to unbalance, leading me through a phase of darkness, a period of depression that subtly taught me the most valuable lesson of all.
This isn't just about the juggling act between responsibilities; it's about understanding that there's no such thing as a 'perfect balance' - but there is such a thing as harmony.
It's about learning that you cannot pour from an empty cup, that placing work before everything else can cost you what truly matters, and that self-care isn't just a concept but a crucial practice.
Join me as I share how a shift in perspective, powered by faith, was necessary for prioritizing self-care and embracing the fact that we function most effectively when there's harmony in our lives.
Through my story, let's explore the importance of not spreading ourselves too thin, of filling our own cups, and acknowledging that our victories in work, love, and personal well-being are deeply interconnected.
This episode is a testament to life's teeter-totters and our ability to stand steady, finding our own rhythm amidst the tumult. Dive in, as we journey through these revelations, seeking a symphony in the segments of our existence.
