Investor Arian Simone talks Hollywood transition, Homelessness & Oprah in Apple Bottoms

  • サマリー

  • This episode we sit with Hollywood publicist turned investor Arian Simone. During this conversation, the Detroit native talks about how her entrepreneurial journey at Florida A&M University took her from retail to placing Nelly's Apple Bottom jeans products on Tyra Banks and Oprah to homelessness. Her fearless hustle enabled her to bounce back securing major success as a A-List publicist with clients that included Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, and up and coming Hollywood producer Will Packer (Stomp the Yard, Ride Along).

Arian is also a co-founder of the Fearless Fund, which invests in women of color led businesses seeking pre-seed, seed level or series A financing.

Adell Henderson is a multimedia professional with over 25 years of experience including stints with Black media powerhouses such as Black Entertainment Television (BET) and the trailblazing Black men’s publication, KING Magazine.

Real Times Media (RTM) was established in 2003, but its legacy stretches back over 100 years. As the parent company to five of the country’s most respected Black-owned news organizations, the Atlanta Daily World, Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine, the Chicago Defender, the Michigan Chronicle, and the New Pittsburgh Courier, RTM remains committed to delivering quality news, events, and entertainment for African American audiences.
