    Walker Howard is a 5-star quarterback prospect for the Class of 2022 from St Thomas More High School in Lafayette. Howard is an LSU verbal commitment and the ringleader of the Tigers 2022 recruiting class, in terms of landing new recruits and making sure the current commits stay committed. His father Jamie played quarterback for STM and LSU as well.

  • JACQUES TALK: SPORTSCASTING LEGEND HANNAH STORM

    Hannah Storm is an award-winning journalist, producer and director, is a pioneer in the field of sports broadcasting for women, a published author, an advocate for children suffering from debilitating vascular birthmarks, and most importantly, a mother of three. Storm, joined ESPN in 2008 and currently serves as an ESPN SportsCenter anchor. She also leads the network’s coverage of significant events across the sports world such as the recent celebration of life services after the passing of NBA legend Kobe Bryant. She also previously hosted and executive produced ESPN’s primetime interview specials - In Focus with Hannah Storm and Face to Face with Hannah Storm - where she interviewed various newsmakers in sports. In 2018, Storm made sports broadcasting history once again when she, along with veteran sports broadcaster Andrea Kremer, became the first female duo to call a NFL game as part of Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football. The duo is set to embark on calling their fourth season of NFL games for Amazon in 2021. Prior to ESPN, Storm had successful TV stints at CBS as host of The Early Show, CNN and NBC Sports. In 2008, Storm added to her creative passions with the creation of Brainstormin’ Productions, a production company that creates documentaries, short films and branded content. Recent projects include Danica, a documentary in conjunction with EPIX on racing superstar Danica Patrick that won an honor at New York Film Festival award, and content for brands such as Under Armour and Secret. Also in 2008, she launched the Hannah Storm Foundation which advocates for children and parents of children suffering from debilitating vascular birthmarks. Storm’s passion for this cause stems from her personal experience with it: she was born with a port wine stain underneath her left eye.

  • NIRVANA 30 YEARS LATER MICHAEL AZERRAD

     September 10, 2021 marks the 30-year anniversary of one of the biggest game-changers in the history of popular music. A somewhat unheard of grunge band called Nirvana unleashed the single “Smells Like Teen Spirit” - a bombastic, relentless, driving anthem that thundered across America like a giant earthquake. Lead vocalist Kurt Cobain became a rock superstar overnight, while the album Nevermind would sell over 10 million copies. Michael Azerrad is an American author, music journalist, editor, and musician. A graduate of Columbia University, he has written for publications such as Spin, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times. His Nirvana biography Come As You Are has been named one of the greatest books in rock history.

    Jerel Myers played wide receiver at LSU from 1999-2002. Myers enjoyed the best freshman campaign of any Tiger receiver in history and set an SEC freshman receiving record with 64 catches. He was a member of the Tigers’ 2001 SEC Championship team and on the field for legendary Bluegrass Miracle against Kentucky in 2002

  • JACQUES TALK: FORMER LSU RUNNING BACK NICK BROSSETTE

    Nick Brossette has been a familiar name to Louisiana football fans for years. At University High School Brossette compiled staggering and record breaking numbers, including his senior year in which he rushed for 2,321 yards and 31 touchdowns. He rushed for a state title game record 272 yards and three touchdowns on 37 carries in 46-32 win over Parkview Baptist. Brossette’s first three years at LSU were frustrating, but his patience finally paid of in 2018, as he rushed for 1,039 yards and 14 touchdowns. The Tigers would go on to a10-3 record that season, win The Fiesta Bowl and finish ranked No. 6 in the country. These days Brossette has returned to UHigh where he is an assistant coach.

  • JACQUES TALK: LSU GREAT BRADIE JAMES

    Bradie James is one of the great linebackers in LSU football history. Playing with the Tigers from 1999-2002, James was an first team All-American selection by three different publications and established an LSU single-season record by making 154 tackles during his senior year. James has also been a tremendous philanthropist for many years, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to fight cancer, as his mother Etta James passes away due to breast cancer over two decades ago. James just donated $50,000 to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Baton Rouge, which will go towards funding free screenings for people across the state, in particular those in James’ hometown of Monroe.

  • Michael Clayton: LSU all-time great and national champion

    Michael Clayton is an LSU all-time great and without question one of the most important recruits in Tigers’ history. The Baton Rouge native and former Christian Life star was pivotal in turning around the LSU program under former head coach Nick Saban, as the Tigers won the 2003 BCS national championship, along with SEC titles in 2001 and in 2003.  Clayton finished with 182 career receptions, just one short of Wendell Davis’ all-time record of 183. He was a first team All-SEC selection and made several All-American teams as well. Clayton enjoyed an 8-year career in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl with the New York Giants in 2011.
