The "More To Say" Work is created by Lisa Jason, Katie Barbour, and Jimmy Thrasher. The "More To Say" work is simply defined as, if you have suffered any kind of loss in your life and you are still here on planet earth, God has a plan for your life, and a plan on how to get your there, your have "More To Say."

In this episode you will hear Lisa, Katie, and Jimmy talk about how God crossed their paths and the story behind them writing the song, "More To Say." You will also hear the three of them talk about how the song inspired them to create the "More To Say" Work. You will also hear the three of them discuss different projects in progress which encompasses the "More To Say" Work.

The Holiday Season is one of the favorite times of year for Melissa and I. Both of our families have been farmers for generations and Melissa and I carry that tradition on today. Being we have such a background in farming, harvest in the fall is something that has always been a major part of our lives. After having planted in the spring, praying for the right balance of rain and sun, and after having tended to the crops all spring and summer, harvest has always been a welcomed reward.

As a child, playing on tractors, cotton pickers, and combines was always one of my favorite things to do. But my absolute favorite thing to do was to play in the cotton wagons when they were full of those tiny white balls of cotton. I always had a couple of months in October and November to play in the wagons before they went to the cotton gin, which was always in harvest season.

Harvest Season always gives way to the Holiday Season of November and December which seems to just top off such an enjoyable time for Melissa and I. Preparing for Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Starting the Holiday Season off by going to fall festivals, decorating for Thanksgiving and then for Christmas. Having the entire family together around the Thanksgiving Table and then the Christmas Tree. During this time of year we celebrate so many family Holiday Traditions that have been carried on for generations in our family.

Harvest Season and the Holiday Season are such special times of year for our family, we found it only fitting to begin sharing some of our favorite Holiday Traditions with you, our listeners. In. this episode Melissa and I along with our Audio Engineer, Fletcher Brown will each share a couple of our favorite Holiday Traditions with you. At the time of releasing this episode, many would say we live in Uncertain Times. If one takes a moment for reflection, the signs are all there. The headlines showcase them each day; random violence, lawlessness, wars, anxiety, depression, mental health challenges, suicide, technology that is eliminating jobs, persecution of people of faith, raging inflation, housing cost beyond many's reach, entrainment that is becoming increasingly dark, a raging drug epidemic, all time low Church attendance, and many are seeking peace in these uncertain times.

Uncertainty in one's life can lead to mental health symptoms such as stress, poor sleep quality, mental fatigue, fear of loosing control, anxiety, and depression. Physical health symptoms of uncertainty include forgetfulness, elevated heart rate, sweating, appetite changes, nausea, body pain, irritability, and fatigue.

If given the proper spiritual attention, uncertainty can be replaced with peace in one’s life. The uncertain aspects which are out of one’s control may not change, but how one approaches these uncertainties and deals with them can be. The areas of life we talk about in this episode are the temporal needs, life purpose, and eternal security. Trusting God with these areas of life can lead to peace in uncertainty.

In our last episode, "Purpose, Identity, & Direction," we talked about the three steps Jimmy Thrasher traversed on his way to the new life God gave him after losing his late wife. Jimmy shared his testimony and Biblical insights regarding life after loss as a means of encouragement to those grieving a loss. In our last episode, "Grieving A Loss," we talked about the five steps of Grieving, and Jimmy shared his testimony of his grieving experience after losing his late wife. Through Biblical insights and by sharing his testimony, Jimmy and Melissa shared hope and encouragement for those traversing the grieving process. Most of us avoid thinking about losing a loved one at all costs. We feel that if we never think about it, then it can't happen to us. People also have a tendency to avoid those who've had a recent loss simply because they may not know what to say. Whatever the case, without their realizing it, their actions isolate those they are avoiding, making the severity of their friend's or family member's grieving all the worse.
