  • #3 [Pilgrim Perspectives] Valerie & Corina from Rye, NY

    Meet my good friends Valerie and Corina who just arrived back from their pilgrimage to the Holy Land.  Their testimony is beautiful as they talk about the realization that it will take a while to unpack all the graces they received on their recent trip.  I can say with confidence that it was a life-changing experience for them both, and it certainly  makes me look even more forward to my upcoming assignment there!

    (Luke 18:9-14) In this Gospel there are two main characters.  One is wearing a mask when he prays and the other is not.  Even though people wear masks for Halloween, Jesus shows us that this is not a best practice for our prayer if we desire intimate contact with God.

    My story as a Catholic priest started in the same place that all of us did: in the mind of God.  Join me in this podcast as I explore my own journey towards eternity through homilies, my own personal stories, and interviews with others who share their experience of this life long pilgrimage.  As I prepare to begin my new assignment in the Holy Land I am also excited to share with you what it's like to walk where Jesus walked and pray where Jesus prayed.  Does the adventure of following Jesus Christ get any more real than that?!?
