Bianca Gonzalez Intal is more than just a TV personality. After Y Speak launched her career in 2003, Bianca has always followed a path of service, where she is able to influence and inspire people to be more critical of what’s happening in the world, and closer to the advocacies that she supports.

She believes that her mission is to help people know that they are not alone, whatever they are going through. And so, she co-founded She Talks Asia, an advocacy organization that aims to share stories and strike necessary global conversations; and created “Paano Ba ’To?!” which started as a book and is now a podcast and Youtube channel geared towards helping younger Filipinas deal with life’s dilemmas.

In the early 2000s, YSpeak became of the most influential youth shows that shaped the thinking of the youth then. Ryan Agoncillo and Bianca Gonzalez-Intal were the iconic hosts of the show. Interestingly, during this lockdown some of the youth then – who are now young adults – communicated with Bianca through social media expressing their gratitude for YSpeak shaping their thinking and core values. In this final episode of the two-episode conversation with Bianca and Ryan, we get an insight into how they also evolved over the last decade and a half. “Why am I even a part of this? There are people who are better than me.”

When KD Estrada entered the PBB house, he was plagued with anxiety and feelings of depression, which almost pushed him to make a voluntary exit. It was something he brought with him from the outside world—an anxiety-filled life where he struggled to pick up the guitar and couldn’t go out of his own room when his self-esteem hits rock bottom.

But with the help of his family and the company of his now closest friend, Alexa Ilacad, he finally found a way to cope and accept himself.

For Mother’s Day, Fr. Tito Caluag talks to superstar and inspiring mom, Judy Ann Santos Agoncillo, who shares with us her moving stories of motherhood. In today’s episode, Judy Ann talks about the unconditional love and sacrifice of her mother for her—how she worked abroad for 20 years to provide for the family, how she would miss the important milestones in their life, how she would buy gifts for the kids even when they were already earning on their own—and how this shaped her to become the woman and mom that she is now.

“I really appreciate every bit of sacrifice and love that she gave us. It made us stronger. Mas na-appreciate ko ’yung buhay ko lalo.”

Judy Ann also brought this love and sacrifice that she learned from her mother to her everyday life as an artista, as a mother, and as a philanthropist. So she would bring food for everyone she worked with on the set, how she would care for her kids, and how she will work with Caritas Philippines to help teach moms how to cook affordable but nutritious food for their families.

“Masarap mag-alaga sa mga tao,” she says.

Kim Chiu’s Catholic journey started with her mom. They would pray the rosary every night and until now, she does not end her day without praying. After her family went bankrupt and her mom died, their family had to jump from city to city every year because of their dad’s job.

Dimples Romana grew up in a very prayerful family, and was raised by parents who had absolute faith and trust in the Lord. And when her father lost early to aneurysm, just four years after her sister died of leukemia, her eyes were opened even more to the goodness and providence of the Lord.

“When Papa passed on, I asked the Lord, ‘Did you not think that I deserve a complete family?’ But then, I would remember my Papa’s words: ‘Be a moth and go towards the light. When it’s so dark, just a little bit of light from the heavens will make all the difference.’”

Knowing what it feels like to lose too many too soon, Dimples now takes every blessing with humility and gratitude. She carries her father’s humility and gratefulness in her everyday life and in how she is raising her kids. And when the going gets tough, she knows exactly what to do: pray.

“The Lord’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. When I am weakest, that’s when the Father will come running to me and reach for my hand, saying, ‘Anak, ako na ’to.’”
