Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson

著者: Robert Louis Stevenson
  • サマリー

  • David Balfour, a chap of seventeen and recently stranded, is coordinated to proceed to live with his rich uncle, the expert of the bequest of Shaws in the marshes of Scotland close to Edinburgh. His uncle, Ebenezer (as close a grumpy person as Dickens' Ebenezer Tightwad), is stunned to unexpectedly have his young relative slide on him and attempts to free himself of David with an organized mishap. Bombing that, he pays the commander of a brig to hijack David and sell him into bondage in Carolina. A crash in the mist brings installed the brig a survivor, Alan Breck Stewart, who is conveying a hazardous measure of gold in his possession. David cautions him of an arrangement by the brig's skipper and team to overwhelm him and hold onto the cash, and afterward winds up battling close by Alan in a fight royale. By favorable luck, Alan is convenient with a blade and they approach the guns storage, and the pair so totally rout the team that scarcely enough hands stay to cruise her. Limping to port, she is holed by rocks, and David gets himself a castaway. Being in Alan's presence keeps on being a chancey business. David is conversing with Colin Roy Campbell, the Lord's Element who has been abusing Alan's kin, when the man is shot to death, and David is pursued as an accessory. The two "take to the heather" and scarcely get by close to brushes with redcoats as they string through the Trossachs and other high country scopes of Scotland. Solely after a challenging weeks-long trip across an area where they are effectively pursued do they arise in the more settled regions around the waterway Forward, just to track down watches upon the scaffold. With no cash remaining, they should some way or another cross to Queensferry, track down Ebenezer's legal advisor, and make a case for David's legacy to send Alan securely on to France.
