Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk pro boxing, live streaming: Olympic champions in battle of heavyweights

British boxer Anthony Joshua will fight to reclaim his unified world heavyweight titles from Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk at the Rage on the Red Sea pro boxing event at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

The two heavyweight boxers were initially scheduled to face off earlier in the year but the match was postponed after Oleksandr Usyk listed himself in the Ukrainian army during the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Oleksandr Usyk, dubbed as ‘The Cat’ for his quick reflexes, is undefeated in his professional career and will be gunning to defend his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight championship belts. The bout will take place at 3:00 AM Indian Standard Time on Sunday and can only be seen on live streaming.

Following Tyson Fury's retirement, The Ring Magazine heavyweight title will also be on the line, in addition to Oleksandr Usyk’s four heavyweight titles.

Last year, Anthony Joshua lost his unified titles in London after Oleksandr Usyk stretched him to the 12 rounds and won the fight via unanimous decision.

It was Anthony Joshua’s second loss in his pro-boxing career. The win made Oleksandr Usyk only the second boxer after Evander Holyfield to win unified world titles in both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions.

The Rage on the Red Sea clash will be the first time Oleksandr Usyk will be defending his unified heavyweight titles. He is undefeated in his three matches in the heavyweight division after moving up from the cruiserweight category in 2019.

Both Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua are amateur-turned-professional boxers, who have previously won gold medals at the Olympics. While Oleksandr Usyk won the gold medal at London 2012 in the heavyweight category, Anthony Joshua clinched the gold in the super-heavyweight division at the same edition.
