In this week's episode, Lance shares from Psalm 22, often called the greatest Messianic psalm in the Bible. Psalm 22 was written centuries before the crucifixion, and yet contains very precise details about Christ's suffering on the cross—from the perspective of the one on the cross, rather than from the onlookers like in the gospels.

This episode is part one of a two part series on Psalm 22. This part explains how the sufferer moves from the deep anguish of "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" to unexpected triumph.

He explains that our self-life is what keeps us from experiencing the fullness of the Lord’s life and keeps us in the realm of just being converts and knowing Jesus as our Saviour instead of going on as disciples and letting Jesus be our Lord as well. If we want to experience resurrection life, we need to let go of our claim to our own life and let Jesus truly be our Lord.
