  • How to go About Finding Your Story Brand and Passion
    2021/09/28
Hi everyone. Kyle again, Interesting thoughts. Today, I’m back on the trails, and I wanted to talk about building your brand image. I had a fascinating discussion with a dear friend colleague and alumni of my Alma Mater Gonzaga. Justin Slagle, this guy, he’s fascinating, he’s a senior VP at six crickets and TEDx speaker, global traveler thought leader, and just an amazing person on stage. He’s directed, he’s acted. He’s done a lot and I love getting up on stage and having a chance to speak with this guy. So he’s also on one of the other channels if you want to check it out. So Justin and I were talking about building your brand. Now that’s a weird thought because well, you know, businesses have brands. But as the individuals, we also do. This is a critical element in the new world, the future of leadership, right? People more than ever have the tools and technology to work from everywhere. And part of being able to be successful is having a robust portfolio. It’s not a career i

  • How Decisions Shape Destiny and Your Next Chapter
    2021/09/23
Hello. Hello. How’s it going? Kyle Denton your host and I am out on the trails, getting in a good run in some beautiful weather on a nice forest trail by my neighborhood. So it’s a great way to get exercise, listen to some content and get some content put together. For anybody who hasn’t seen it before I run with a Camelback some gloves without finger tips–they’re actually crag gloves for rock climbing, but I find that they provide good leather grip if I need to jump over a log or yeah, anything that may come up. A lapel microphone to record, a phone to listen, maybe that’s not everybody, but I just kept my old phone. I didn’t send it in for a couple bucks. One to play while the other used to record so it’s a quick switch. I pause one device I can start talking on the other. Today what’s on my mind? Well it’s a mix of Mel Robbins and Tony Robbins, but I like that mix the MelTony mix. So Mel. Yeah, she talked about closure and you know, finish out your last chapter before you move

  • Reimagining Face-to-Face Events and Teams
    2021/09/21
Hey there, everybody. Okay. So what’s on the top of my mind? Last time I was talking about hybrid events with international partners and academic institutions. And I just I I’m at this point where I am wondering why there’s a feeling of grasping of trying to obtain something from the past, right? So I I work with another non-profit organization where we we have not converted virtual as soon as we could meet with more than five people, in a dining area again, everybody on the team like converted over that. And then we had some people drop. We had some people who just phoned in on somebody’s phone we didn’t set up any real tech on how to do the virtual dynamic team interaction, that rich with you know, visual content chat, pictures of people and better audio quality realistically from the technology we use because it’s like the person on the phone couldn’t hear the person who is like 10 feet down the table. So I was like a repeat back. Pause, not a natural conversation. And this

  • What's Next in Leading Hybrid Global Events and Teams?
    2021/09/16
I’m gonna break it down real simple today on what’s on my mind, and the thought du jour is a hybrid global meetings. What do I mean by that? So we’ve all been in the the COVID world for a while. And you know, lockdowns have been a thing. And what we’re seeing emerge is that every country in the world is a little bit different in their current circumstances, and things are going in cycles and lulls. Right. The the countries are hitting peaks, then they’re putting in more practices lockdowns, and the case counts start dipping. And but then, they go right back up. And it’s, I mean, there’s epic centers as things open up, and they navigate outward as people start feeling more comfortable with traveling, again, we’ve seen this process. What twice, almost three times now. I think and we’re going back into another restricted phase. And so, why is that important? So, 2015 is when I started on my first journey of doing hybrid, that’s things that incorporate both the physical and the

  • What is the Trick to Mapping Organizational Transformation?
    2021/09/14
Okay. Good morning. I’m driving in to work today. It’s September 13th. And I’m just having a lot of ideas mull around in my head on digital transformation. Not only for the shipyard. But for also, what is it? You know, so I’ve got a gonna work on the strategy for the shipyard and then I’ve also got to really lay out the concept map for my dissertation. Because first, before you can say, what’s something is not you need to also work on the flip side of what it is or I guess a better way to say it. I mean, I needed to find what it is and what it is not so that I can identify the things that are the gaps to it. That is the the kind of focus point of my dissertation work. As I’m going into it, at least starting out laying out that concept map. And yeah I really thought about of what is it? What defines and I started that process with can and I have to define it. I think further of there is change leadership. There is innovation. It includes, you know, process improvement, contin

  • How Do You Increase the Impact of Leadership Research?
    2021/09/09
So here’s a crazy thought for all the students out there or folks who are putting together case studies, lesson plan, or doing a little research. Have you ever wondered about the way that you can make higher impact products? And by products? I mean, you know, either you’re less than plan, your case study your course or the tool you’re using to train your workforce. Here’s the idea in brief. How can you use insights from marketing to capture attention and make people want to read more? That’s the idea in brief. Keep listening to find out. Okay. So here it is. Marketing has some known psychological factors because marketers are driven by dollar metrics, so they track what works really well. Conversion rates cart values and funnel, completion rates. You know how people move from one product to the next including ad retargeting on how long term interaction with advertisements content websites, blogs, etc. End up leading to customer acquisition period. So often advertising is

  • How Does Technology Impact Diversity and Inclusion?
    2021/09/07
Hi everyone, welcome to Leadership Daily. My name is Kyle and here, I’m excited to kick off the first episode where we help coaches consultants, educators, practitioners, and students to hone their leadership craft, especially in ed, tech, and entrepreneurship. So, super excited today. I wanted to talk a little bit about diversity and technology, especially virtual teams. One of my papers just submitted is about virtuality, team virtuality, and how to both be a team member as well as lead that team. So my specific kind of lens was culture communication and relationships within virtual teams. Which is huge in the work from anywhere, work from home, work from everywhere culture that we have entered over the last 18 months or I would say like overnight, we practically entered it, right? So, one of the things that I’m starting to look at is what are some of those dark sides? What are some of those issues where we really need to recognize the gap and work on it and build a bridge. A
