I can’t believe we made it to 33 Episodes! When I first started Let It B, I had no idea what taking a step out in faith would produce.

In this episode, I talk about the gift of time and preparation season before we see the promises of God. I open up about the weight and the responsibility that comes with being a “minister of the Gospel”. I talk about how I overcome fears, doubt and insecurities of being a podcaster, fighting the urge to quit and how I embrace being set apart. I also talk about the dangers of influencers and how important it is for you to know the word for yourself.

I pray that in the episode you not only feel encouraged to keep pushing forward, but that you also see that you are not alone in your struggles. Sometimes walking in faith will only make sense to you and God and that’s okay. Don’t be in a rush to get to the promise. SLOW DOWN and embrace every moment so that you don’t miss what God is trying to show you in the process.

This episode is so special to me. I got to sit down with my sister from another mister, JoJo! She is the host of Behind Our Portraits Podcast, a nurse, sister and friend. I was so honored to sit down with Kim Williams, wife, mother, Leadership Coach and CEO of a nonprofit called Interfaith Family Services in Dallas. Kim opens up about her journey to becoming a CEO. She shares some of the challenges that she faced navigated her way to the assignment God placed on her unprovoked. She talks about how she learned how to stand on the word that God promised her even though nothing about the assignment seemed promising.

She dropped so many gems and life lessons. We talk about the importance of balancing family, the value of confidence, insecurities in purpose, beauty standards and so much more! Most people don’t know how to suffer well. What I mean by that is knowing how to walk through hard seasons WITH God instead of believing that He isn’t with you. In this episode I talk about seeing God in the hills and valleys of life. It’s so easy to see the goodness of God when He is blessing you and answering your prayers. But what about when things are tough and it’s hard to see His faithfulness. Will you still say God is Good?

I open up about mental health struggles as a believer. I talk about how I used therapy, scripture and prayer as a resource. I also talk about how to see God in seasons of uncertainty, the power of resilience, restoration, God’s promises and more. I even share resources and scriptures to help you navigate the valley seasons.

There’s something about the valley seasons that God does His best work in us and through us. I also recognize that God empathizes with us when we are in a valley season. He cares about our mental health. He cares about our well being. He is always working things together no matter what it looks like. That’s why He’s always good!

This may serve as a wake up call for some or an invitation to others, either way I pray that you hear it with love and that it blesses you beyond measure.

I got a chance to sit down with Alexis Bolden, owner of Bold-N Designs and she is such a gem. I’m on the couch by myself this week. I wanted to let you in on what’s been happening in life lately. Most importantly, I wanted to share the many revelations that I received from a book that I was reading called Dangerous Prayers. Reading this book has been so transformative in my walk and also opened my eyes.

I never realized how surface level my prayer life had been. When we pray it’s usually a prayer of gratitude, protection, provision or crying out to God when things are in turmoil. I never realized how much deeper we needed to go sometimes. Praying dangerously isn’t about God being a genie but more so about Him doing the inner work inside us.

In this episode I break down the sections of Dangerous Prayers by Craig Groeschel and how they have manifested in my life these last few months. This episode is full of encouragement, scripture, revelation and conviction for some. If you are wanting to grow deeper in your relationship with God, I challenge you to start praying Dangerous Prayers. I understand this may not be for everyone.
