  • Living Well Together with Jenny Saladin | Ep.44
    2024/10/31

In this episode of Living Well Together, we chat with Jenny Saladin, a longtime Fairborn community member whose journey exemplifies the power of aligning life with one’s true values. Jenny grew up in Enon but spent her early years dancing at Miami Valley Dance Center in Fairborn, where much of her social life and roots were formed. Today, she lives in Fairborn with her husband and son, Lacan. After earning her degree in business from Bowling Green State University, Jenny worked in corporate America for ten years before realizing it wasn’t the path for her. Through re-evaluating her financial priorities and redefining what a “successful” life looked like, she found a much happier, more fulfilling balance.

Jenny’s career now includes organizational work, personal assisting, and supporting the city schools. She’s passionate about making a difference in her community and witnessing its transformation firsthand. Her journey speaks to those who believe life has a fixed formula, reminding us that we’re not limited to the high school-college-full-time-job template. In her words, “Your path isn’t set in stone!” Jenny enjoys her new freedom and has never looked back. Now, she provides organizational support to clients on evenings and weekends—not to build a big business but to simply help a few people each month create order in their lives.

Tune in to hear Jenny’s insights on navigating life’s changes, following your heart, and creating a lifestyle that aligns with who you are.

  • Living Well Together with The McCoskeys | Ep.39
    2024/09/26

In this episode, Dr. Terry and Lisa discuss the potential risks associated with mammography, including radiation exposure, mis-diagnosis, and its limitations in women with dense breast tissue. Mammograms expose women to low levels of ionizing radiation, which can increase the risk of radiation-induced cancers, especially with repeated exposure. They also have a high false-positive rate, leading to unnecessary stress, anxiety, and invasive procedures. Plus, mammograms are less effective in detecting tumors in dense breast tissue, missing up to 50% of cancers.

We explore safer, more effective alternatives like ultrasound and thermography. Ultrasound is a non-invasive, radiation-free option that improves cancer detection, especially in women with dense breasts. It’s a safer, stress-free solution that offers early detection without the need for compression.

    Benefits of Ultrasound:
    - Non-invasive and no radiation exposure
    - Effective for women with dense breast tissue, nursing mothers, and those with implants
    - Early detection of small tumors
    - Comfortable and easy screening process

We also share proactive ways to minimize cancer risk through lifestyle choices, including eating organic whole foods, reducing stress, eliminating toxins, and nurturing emotional well-being.
