Apply to our Executive Wholehearted Leadership Cohort -https://www.livingwholehearted.com/leadership-cohorts

When leaders can see themselves and how they are wired, from the most accurate lens possible, they are able to learn to live within their limits. Today we are throwing it back to the beginning and discussing the Core Values Index (CVI) tool that we have been using for 13+ years. This tool has been an integral piece of the work we do here at Living Wholehearted whether it is utilized with individuals, organizations, marriages or families, it has proven time and time again to give people a roadmap to healthier relationships with themselves, in the workplace, and in their personal lives.

We are Jeff and Terra Mattson, a husband and wife team, and co-hosts of the Living Wholehearted Podcast. We are the founders of Living Wholehearted, a professional counseling, executive coaching, and organizational development firm outside Portland, Oregon, helping leaders live and lead with integrity. Our amazing team of professionals who have excellent character and competencies, are coming alongside leaders in the home, work and community, providing confidential and safe places for leaders, their families, and their teams. We co-authored the book, Shrinking the Integrity Gap: Between What Leaders Preach and Live, and are raising our two teen girls on 5 acres in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. We also founded Courageous Girls, a non-profit dedicated to helping moms walk alongside their daughters at every stage of their growing years (learn more at mycourageousgirls.com). Bridging the gap between Biblical truth, clinical expertise, and trauma-informed relational wisdom, we are currently engaged in executive coaching, organizational development, writing, speaking, and training pastors, counselors and leaders. We believe that when a leader lives and leads with integrity, everyone in their wake benefits. That's why we do what we do.

  • Episode 232: Tired of Being Tired? How to Rest.
    2024/08/27

When someone asks you how you are doing, do you typically respond with "fine", "busy" or "tired"? These responses seem to be the norm these days as the treadmill of life never ends, especially for leader types. Today we want to talk about the importance of practicing rhythms of rest with a special guest who understands what it’s like to be tired of being tired.

Jess Connolly is the author or coauthor of several books, including Wild and Free and Breaking Free from Body Shame and her most recent book, “Tired of Being Tired: Receiving God’s Realistic Rest for Your Soul-Deep Exhaustion.”

Along with her husband, Nick, she planted Bright City Church in Charleston, South Carolina, where they live with their four children.

  • Episode 231: Maintaining Integrity as a Leader
    2024/08/13

Everyone is a leader is some capacity, and often, "The greatest challenge in leadership is leading yourself". Leading with integrity is about bringing all of who we are — our mind, heart, soul, body, and relationships, before those who we lead. At Living Wholehearted we say that when leaders lead and live with integrity everyone in their wake benefits, but when leaders don't, everyone in their wake pays, it's just a matter of time. Today we get the opportunity to chat with Joe Brouillette as he shares about his experience as a leader, and how he has seen both sides of the leadership coin played out over the years in addition to introducing us to a concept he calls "servant leadership".

Joe is an executive coach and leadership consultant here at Living Wholehearted. He has several decades of Leadership, Board Service and Global Business Experience. He engages and shares his experience, knowledge, and wisdom with business and non-business leaders in ways that enable vision, effectiveness, and impact. Whether you're navigating the complexities of corporate governance or seeking to lead with purpose and innovation, Joe provides tailored guidance and practical strategies to help you achieve your goals. Join him on a transformative journey of leadership growth and organizational success by contacting him at joe@livingwholehearted.com
