  • Anna from IAP - The Itinerant Art Project
    2023/09/28

In this episode of LONGLINE we sit down with Anna, the founder of The Itinerant Art Project, an Alice Springs-based art initiative looking to empower people with lived experiences of homelessness. Anna talks about the project's origins and the aim to explore the issues faced by our itinerant population and combat stereotypes through art installations, videos and weekly art meet-ups.

A number of the participants of the project took part in a recording exercise but wished to remain anonymous. A small section of this recording plays at the beginning of this episode. While longer episodes were created with the participants, upon completion of the episodes, the participants were uncomfortable with the material being shared publicly. Some of the recorded material has been shared in a small exhibition at Watch This Space gallery in Alice Springs.
