    2024/07/13

How can data and technology support decision-making and change in response to societal challenges? And what role can environmental monitoring and citizen science play? These are just some of the questions we discuss in this very special episode with Dr Mel Woods. She is an artist, researcher and Chair of Creative Intelligence at DJCAD/ University of Dundee. We talk in particular about Urban ReLeaf and the potential of citizen-driven data ecosystems, and more generally about the intersection of creativity, technology, action research and social innovation.

  • Local Spotlights: Connie Hunter/ East Neuk Market Garden
    2024/04/10

In this episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with Connie Hunter, the co-founder and owner of East Neuk Market Garden: a 4-acre agroecological farm growing vegetables, salads, herbs, and fruits in the East Neuk of Fife. She tells us about the journey that led her and her partner, Tom, to start East Neuk Market Garden. We also discuss what drew them to agroecological farming practices, and how growing food links to both public and environmental health, as well as our sense of place and community.
