Grimmway Farms is recalling multiple brands of bagged organic whole and baby carrots due to potential contamination with E. coli O121. The affected products include organic baby carrots with best-if-used-by dates ranging from September 11, 2024, to November 12, 2024, and organic whole carrots sold between August 14, 2024, and October 23, 2024. Brands include 365, Bunny Luv, Cal-Organic, Compliments, Full Circle, Good & Gather, GreenWise, Marketside, Nature's Promise, O-Organic, President's Choice, Simple Truth, Trader Joe's, Wegmans, Wholesome Pantry.

Approximately 39 cases of E. coli infections, including 15 hospitalizations and one death, have been reported across 18 states. The carrots were sold nationwide but are no longer in stores. Consumers should immediately check their refrigerators and freezers for these recalled products. If found, discard them or return them to the store. Wash surfaces or containers that may have come into contact with the carrots thoroughly with hot soapy water.
