In this episode I explore the definition of love, the aspect of attachment and how your love for your child could potentially be holding your child back in their development and quest for independence.
I explore how our adult mindset and need for control can in fact be hindering our child's growth and possibly impacting our relationship with them.
Often times we think that when we protect and provide everything for them, this is the greatest act of love...when in fact letting go...stepping back and guiding them towards independence is truly loving them. This is because when we step back, let go... we are acknowledging the child as an independent individual. We are supporting their future selves.
I also give you ideas on how to achieve this level of freedom within boundaries in your own home today!
