Haazinu is a shira about Jewish history, how we will experience Hashem's kindness, but then rebell from our state of comfort, and be punished for severely for it. How do we frame these calamities and our personal tzaros, are they simply punishments, or are they for the good of the world?

However the Seforno translates it as a confession, and gives a pshat how there is a confession here, from the fact that we are giving it to Shevet Levi instead of the Bechorim, which was a result of our sins with the Eigel. Seems to me like a Shmuess that we are confessing for that today, and that are we maybe supposed to tap into those feelings of shame every time we do this vidui.

We are told to use tricks to do battle with our Yetzer Harah. Avos DiRabbi Noson says Hashem explaining in the Parsha why the troubles that will befall the Jewish people befell them is an example of a fence. The Torah telling us to distance from Arayos is a fence. What fences around our weak spots can we make in our own lives to keep us out of trouble?

The Torah gives allowance for a soldier at war to take a Yefas Toar and be Migayer her, lest he come to take her even if she were forbidden. Can he force her to accept the Mitzvos against her will? Since when does the Torah make allowances for us the Yetzer Hara? Aren't only the biggest Tzaddikim allowed in the army, shouldn't they be stronger than this?

The Torah tells us to destroy and degrade Avodah Zarah, but not to do so such things towards Hashem. Why is it important to treat Shem Hashem and Divrei Kedusha with respect. What needs burial and what doesn't? What needs to be kept out of a bathroom? What is one's responsibility when distributing Torah material?
